Mobile DJ Derby
As mobile DJ's based near Derby, we cover small to large events/parties from 10 to 10,000+ people across Derby and Derbyshire.
One example, on Saturday the 29th September 2018 we DJ'd for Treetops Hospice Care of Risley Derby for the Colour Rush 5k fun run event at Elvaston Castle. Arriving at 08.30 in the morning, we drove onto the main field of the country park grounds, David and Craig set up the Gazebo and a large outdoor sound system and lighting moving heads for the start time of 09.30.
We also included some LED lighting screens where we displayed messages, names and 3D patterns, welcoming the runners, spectators and families as they arrived. Mary of Treetops Hospice Care requested a nice mix of music to suit all ages, we also took requests during the morning.
The fun run started at 10.15, we did a 10-second countdown before playing Vangelis Chariots of Fire. Other music played during the event included Little Mix, Years and Years, Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Zara Larsson, Ed Sheeran, G-Eazy, Camila Cabello, Marshmello, French Montana, Bruno Mars, and included older genres of music to include Fleetwood Mac, Elvis, The Jam, George Michael, Pulp and Oasis.
When the runners crossed over the finish line they were given a drink, goody bag and plenty of cheers - we continued with requests from the audience and shout-outs to the crowd. The weather was very kind to us, being warm and sunny. It was the first time that the organisers had tried a DJ with the Colour Rush Fun Run and were very happy.
Another event for the Hospice took place at Derby university for 700 people at "The Starlight Strut", a 10k or 5k night-time sponsored walk for ladies only. This involved us DJ'ing and getting everyone ready, in good spirits before they all go off to walk around Derby city centre all raising money for this great charity.
